Fit & Sizing Guide
How I measure Vintage Clothing:
Please note all items are laid flat and measured, then multiplied by 2 (X2).
For example, a ladies dress is laid on a flat surface.
Then we measure from across the bust aligned with the armpits, and multiply by 2 to get the bust size.
The same procedure for the waist and hips.
For length of a dress, hold the measuring tape at the point where the shoulder seam and collar seam meet, then measure straight down to the bottom, this gives you the length measurement.
For the sleeve length, measure the outside shoulder seam to the cuff.
Please measure a similar garment of yours that currently fits comfortably, and compare the measurements. Please keep in mind that you will want some extra room so the garment has some 'ease'.
